It was 1994, my 1-1/2 year old son was outside playing with some toys in the shade of a tree. I went inside because I had to use the restroom.
For some reason, by the grace of God, instead of going straight to the bathroom, I took a route around the couch and glanced out the front window.
I didn't see Lorenzo. I saw the neighbor's dog, Charlie.
I went outside to shew him away, because inside my spirit, I didn't trust him.
When I opened the front door to shew him away, I realized that he had Lorenzo tucked under his front legs. Charlie was on top of him. Biting his head.
Lorenzo suffered two lacerations. One to the back of his head. The other to down the side of his cheek. He was lucky. Had I not come outside, had I gone to the bathroom first, Lorenzo would have been seriously injured or killed.
Charlie was in a zone. It wasn't a bite. It was an attack.
Since the time of this tragety, I have dedicated myself to teaching people about Dog Safety.
The Dog Safety program consists of
*an obedience demonstration*agility demonstration*games*questions and answers all events are incorporated with a tactical lecture.
The Dog Safety program is geared for children and adults of all ages. No one will go home disappointed. Everyone will go home with a deeper understanding of dog behavior.
The Dog Safety program is fun, entertaining and educational... and the information you learn may prevent a dog bite!
